I’ve bought several meditations from Deepak Chopra. Each time I had every intention of listening to it while doing the mantra.
While I did follow through with two of them, the others I didn’t.
I’m not sure why. I’ve read many times that you have the time to do what you want, but you must actually set the time aside to do it.
“Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. ~ H. Jackson Brown
“We all have time to spend or waste, and it is our decision what to do with it. But, once passed, it’s gone forever.” ~ Bruce Lee
“One thing you can’t recycle is wasted time.” ~ Unknown
The Brown quote alone should be motivation enough to use time wisely. And, we all know that being busy doesn’t necessarily mean we’re actually accomplishing anything.
And, I do believe that we have the power to make changes if we believe we can.
But, it’s more than just believing. You must work toward that belief.
Deepak says,”Until your beliefs are expressed through words and action, they’re not dynamic enough to make a real difference.”
Even the Bible tells us that faith without works is dead. (James 2:14-26).
So, the take-away for this post is to take action. Dream your dreams, but don’t just dream. Believe you can accomplish your dreams. Act upon those dreams. Do the work. Walk the walk.
And, for me, I have to just do it. I know mediation works, I just have to do it.
